My wife Rach decided to knit her own hat before Christmas 2017 as she couldn't find anything 'quirky' enough. I could not believe how quickly she managed it (it also looked like fun!), so I asked her to show me how to do it...

 

Four nights later I had my very own hat - and because I don't like to do things the easy way it was a double-knitted Slouchy hat. Being an 'outdoorsie' family who regularly visits Wales we like to stand out a bit, this got me thinking about different colours and designs.

 

I started to make these colourful hats for friends and family and whilst visiting my friend Jay (who couldn't put his heating on), realised that these hats could be worn indoors, much like 'lounge-pants' are worn in place of pyjamas!

 

This got me thinking... and soon after the name 'Loungehats' was born. Since then I have designed over 40 hats and am never far away from a ball of yarn.
